Do you want to work with customers around the world installing and servicing a high-tech instrument based on quantum technology? Do you have a solid background in physics or engineering, combined with excellent communication skills? Do you want to be part of a diverse and dynamic scale-up company? Then this could be the position for you!

As our Technical Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and servicing our SNSPD system remotely as well as at our various customers’ sites. Our customers are scientific and industrial research laboratories around the world. Our SNSPD systems are manufactured and customized to our customers’ needs.

You will need an understanding of our technology, products and our customers’ specific applications. You’ll need excellent communication skills in order to engage and connect with our users and act as an ambassador for Single Quantum. You will contribute to our customer service team by relaying feedback on your installations. You will also improve the customer experience and the quality of our service by working together with the other team members. Furthermore, you will provide remote and/or on-site troubleshooting and technical support to our customers.

Job requirements

We’re looking for a proactive techie with...

  • Master’s or PhD degree in the field of physics or engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and preferably another world language.
  • A willingness to travel.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Good knowledge of and/or working experience with fiber optics is a plus.
  • Experience with quantum optics is a plus.
  • Experience with cryogenics and vacuum systems is a plus.
